It was a long, long, long, long day and night. Casey's water broke at 1am early Monday morning and we went to the Hospital here in Rockford. She had a long, hard labor and didn't deliver Elsie until 12:13 early this morning. Elsie was 8lbs 5oz, 18.5in long and is perfect. Mingi and Grandpa Lew, MiMi and Grandpa Dale were there the whole time, even though they had some of the most uncomfortable seats in the hospital. They were able to meet their newest grandchild shortly after she was born.
Today has been great. Elsie and Casey are doing well, both trying to get some well deserved rest after a rough delivery. Thanks to our parents and thanks to all those that wished us well throughout the night. Casey couldn't have done it without your support.
